Open Invention Network (OIN) is a global community whose main aim is to remove patent friction in core open source technologies, which drives higher levels of innovation. Open Source Software (OSS) distils the collective intelligence of a global community. By design, the OIN exists to preserve patent freedom for participants in key Open Source Software (OSS) projects.
