We deployed dSense – our IoT based location and live analytics solution to meet the client requirements. Since there was significant movement of goods from warehouses to stores, there were chances of products getting delivered to the wrong store. Hence, goods moving out from warehouses were attached with Bluetooth low energy (BLE) Smart Tags and vehicles were installed with Smart Sensors (called CloudSense). In addition, custom BLE enabled Temperature Sensors were also installed to monitor the quality of dairy products with real-time temperature monitoring. BLE signals transmitted from these Smart Tags and Temperature Sensors were captured by CloudSense devices and sent to the dSense cloud in real-time. Detailed analytics and report dashboards, and custom alerts and notifications via a custom mobile application was provided using the dSense solution.
With dSense, our client was able to achieve a significant increase in efficiency and also observed a steady decrease in errors during transportation of goods upto 40%.
